I've worked as a translator for 10 years, handling business, technical, and marketing content for small e-commerce shops. For marketing text I adapt phrasing rather than translating word for word, so it reads naturally rather than sounding translated. For technical documents, I cross-check terminology against glossaries rather than relying on general knowledge. I don't do notarized translations of official documents — I direct clients to an accredited translator for that. Average throughput is around 2,000 words a day.
